A week into the launch window, the civilian meta of Halloween: The Game has settled enough to rank. This tier list reflects launch coverage and early competitive consensus — and it comes with a caveat that most tier lists skip: traits are fixed, roles are fixed, and the map decides which role wins tonight. Full stat tables for every character live in our civilians roster guide.
Halloween: The Game — civilian tier list, every survivor ranked
The Tier List
| Tier | Civilians |
|---|---|
| S | Tanya Harrison · Marcus Navarro |
| A+ | Eric Dunn · Laurie Strode · Alexis Purcell (Deluxe) |
| A | Annie Brackett (lvl 55) · Richard Hawthorne (Deluxe) · Jennifer Aarons |
| B | Lynda Van Der Klok |
Not ranked: Bob Simms (account level 40) and Thomas Armitage — Bob is grind-gated like Annie, and Thomas’s kit landed after most launch rankings were written. Both are viable; the data is just younger.
S-Tier — Why Tanya and Marcus Lead
Tanya Harrison (6/10/5/4) is the phone-wagon route incarnate: Survival Skills shows the status of nearby phones (the whole wagon strategy runs on calls), Hi-Fi reveals Michael information while a noise maker runs, and Guardian Shadow cuts follower damage by 10%. On the map with the best phone coverage, she accelerates the team’s escape engine more than anyone.
Marcus Navarro (5/4/10/7) is the car escape incarnate: Resourcefulness 10 (repairs, vehicles, firearms), Repair Expert stretching repair kits, Trespasser opening locked doors, and Lone Wolf making him terrifying to hunt once the lobby thins. Every sedan plan starts with a Marcus on the squad.
A+ Tier — The Strong Picks
- Eric Dunn (3/6/8/6) — Hunter’s Sense marks nearby escape routes off faint noises, Fast Fingers speeds reloads, Brimstone Fuse stretches firecracker stuns. The information character: he finds the exits everyone else needs.
- Laurie Strode (6/9/7/8) — the final girl plays exactly like the film writes her: Spatial Awareness feeds escape info while she stays calm, and Knockout keeps Michael down longer — she is the best non-Rachel anchor for arrest attempts.
- Alexis Purcell, Deluxe (8/10/5/2) — Popular makes followers take 90% less damage and defend her, Smooth Talker widens the perfect zone on dispatch calls. The strongest support kit in the game, locked behind the Digital Deluxe edition.
A Tier — Strong With A Plan
- Annie Brackett, lvl 55 (4/6/8/5) — Speed Kills, Exit Strategy, Convincing Plea: a late-game escape specialist once unlocked.
- Richard Hawthorne, Deluxe (7/9/5/6) — an intoxication-focused kit (Affluent Partier boosts melee while drunk and high): high risk, high damage.
- Jennifer Aarons (9/6/7/5) — the brawler: Survival Rage raises her melee damage while terrified, Ghost sheds Stalk faster. Punishes a sloppy Boogeyman.
B Tier — Playable, Outclassed
Lynda Van Der Klok (8/7/5/4) — decent stats, but her trait kit (Totally Amazing, Blinding Light, Fade to Black) covers jobs that S and A-tier characters do better. Fun, flavorful, not optimal.
How To Pick — By Squad Role, Not By Tier
- Phone-wagon plan → Tanya, or Alexis for dispatch calls
- Car escape plan → Marcus, seconded by Eric (route marking)
- Arrest squad → Laurie (Knockout) + Rachel Calahan (Full Moon stacks Bloodthirst damage)
- Solo queue → Laurie or Eric — self-sufficient kits that do not need a team to shine
And whatever the tier list says: your perk deck is the multiplier on all of it. The perk tier list ranks the cards, the survivor guide teaches the round loop, and the glossary decodes every term above.
