East Haddonfield Map Guide — Every Exit & Escape Route

Every escape on the East Haddonfield map in Halloween: The Game — police wagon calls, storm cellar, outer gates with the fuse, the sedan escape, and key loot areas.

East Haddonfield is the launch map of Halloween: The Game — Michael’s first stop on the road home from Smith’s Grove, and the playground where every match lives or dies on route knowledge. This page covers the map itself and every escape it offers. For the survivor playstyle around those escapes, read the survivor guide.

East Haddonfield neighborhood overview

What Is East Haddonfield?

Per IllFonic’s official map showcase, East Haddonfield is the typical midwestern town of the 1978 film: quiet streets, houses with wrap-around porches, a grain mill, farm equipment and dirt parking lots, and industrial structures on the edges of town. The suburb layout matters — sightlines are short, fences and porches break chase lines, and the fog does the rest.

Every Escape On East Haddonfield

Launch-week testing documents five ways off the map. Deep mechanics live in our survivor guide; here is the map-level view:

  1. The police wagon — successful phone calls to the police stack up; at roughly two and a half call badges the wagon arrives with two armed officers. Escape through its back door or send residents through.
  2. The storm cellar — clear the blocked entrance (weeds by hand, boards with a two-handed weapon), then unlock with a key or bolt cutters. Told to flee, residents walk out on their own.
  3. The outer gates — same clearing and lock requirements plus a fuse, the rarest escape item on the map. Gates sit on the outer rings of town.
  4. The sedan — the Friday the 13th classic: gas (water tower, garages, backyards), the sedan keys (not the padlock keys), and a repair kit for the engine. It carries multiple survivors — and it can break again if Michael catches it.
  5. Survive the night — run, hide, and outlast the timer.

Key Locations Worth Learning

  • Houses with working phones — each has a resident who can call the police (or take the call for you). The phone network is the wagon route’s fuel.
  • The water tower, garages, and backyards — the reliable gas-can territory. Launch coverage rarely found gas inside houses.
  • The car spawn — learn where the sedan sits each match; the gas-keys-repair-kit triangle plans itself around it.
  • The outer ring — where the gated escapes live, and where you will wish you had kept that fuse.

A Simple Round Route

Spawn and scan

Find the special civilian residents early — the round’s protection objectives are people, not places.

Pick your exit before you need it

Phone house, cellar, gates, or car — whichever side of the map spawned its items near you. Hold the location in your head.

Collect as you go

A defensive item, the escape’s key or cutters, and — if you are going by car — gas and a repair kit. Extra repair kits win late rounds.

Open late, leave early

Open the escape when your group is ready to use it, send residents through, and leave slots for yourselves.

Exit Spawns Vary Per Match

Community mapping during the launch window documents multiple exit spawn configurations — including a storm cellar spawn — so do not memorize one static route; learn the escape types and re-scan the match map each round. The schematic below shows the town’s structure and the route logic survivors use to stitch objectives together.

Escape details here are compiled from launch-week gameplay coverage and early-access testing; exact spawn positions shuffle per match by design. FAQ

What map does Halloween: The Game launch with?
East Haddonfield — the midwestern town from the 1978 film, with landmarks like the grain mill, wrap-around porches, farm equipment, and industrial structures. IllFonic showcased it in a dedicated map reveal before launch.
How many people can use one escape in Halloween: The Game?
Early launch testing points to about three slots per escape point — and NPC residents you send through count against that limit. If you plan to leave through the same exit, budget the slots.
Where do you find gas for the car in East Haddonfield?
Launch coverage places gas cans in the common areas of the map — under the water tower, inside garages, and in backyards — rarely inside houses. The car also needs the sedan keys (different from the padlock keys) and a repair kit for the engine.
Can Michael Myers close an escape?
Yes — launch-week players report that once an escape is opened, Michael can shut it down again. Opening an escape early without using it is a risk.
What does the storm cellar need to open?
Clear whatever blocks the entrance — overgrown weeds clear by hand, wooden boards need a two-handed weapon — then unlock it with a key or bolt cutters. Residents you send there walk out on their own; no escort required.
Why can I not find a fuse for the outer gates?
Fuses are the rarest of the escape items per launch coverage — keys and gas show up far more often. If you find a fuse early, remember where it is or carry it; the outer gates sit on the outer rings of the map.
