Best Survivor Builds — Perk Decks for Every Playstyle

The best survivor builds in Halloween: The Game: five perk decks for phone support, car escapes, combat, stealth and all-round play — with civilian picks for each.

Your perk deck is the only part of a survivor that changes between matches — stats and traits are locked to the character. That makes deck-building the real skill, and the meta after the first week has settled into five clear builds. This page gives you the decks, the civilians that carry them, and the role each one plays in a squad. The card rankings themselves are in the perk tier list; the character data in the civilians roster.

The Anchor Eight — In Every Deck

Whatever the build, these S-tier cards are the foundation (full effects in the tier list):

Unwinded · Unphased · Slippery · Sixth Sense · Stubborn · Field Triage · Solid Foundation · Wound Mender — re-verify the deck after every patch.

They help in every round: chases, heals, escapes and revives. Build the remaining seven slots for your role.

Build 1 — All-Round Survivor (Solo Queue Default)

  • Civilian: Laurie Strode — balanced 6/9/7/8 stats with escape information while calm.
  • Anchors + role slots: add Adrenaline (stamina recharge) and Clotting (passive regen).
  • Plan: no dependencies, no team requirements. Survive, help, escape by whatever the map offers.

Build 2 — Phone & Wagon Support

  • Civilian: Tanya Harrison (Personality 10, phone-status visibility built in) or Alexis Purcell for the Deluxe route.
  • Role cards: Voice Of Reason, Guardian Shadow, Pied Piper, Smooth Talker.
  • Plan: stack the police-wagon route — followers stay alive longer, dispatch calls forgive mistakes, and the wagon arrives faster with every clean call.

Build 3 — Car Escape Specialist

  • Civilian: Marcus Navarro (Resourcefulness 10, Repair Expert, Trespasser built in).
  • Role cards: Exit Strategy, Survival Intuition, plus S-tier movement cards.
  • Plan: find the sedan, collect gas, keys and a repair kit, and drive out with the trunk full of residents.

Build 4 — Combat & Arrest

  • Civilian: Jennifer Aarons (Capability 9, Survival Rage) or Laurie Strode (Knockout trait).
  • Role cards: Contender, Brutal Cleave, Solid Foundation, Knockout.
  • Plan: the escort-and-brawl build — stun Michael, help residents through escapes, and be the squad’s damage dealer when a takedown window opens. Pairs with Rachel Calahan’s Full Moon trait in arrest squads.
  • Patch 1.0.3 note: the civilian melee rebalance reduced high-Capability damage and the Heavyweight trait — brawler output is weaker than at launch. Arrest squads still work, but expect longer takedowns.

Build 5 — Stealth & Loop

  • Civilian: Jennifer Aarons (Ghost trait) or anyone rolling Delicate and Slippery.
  • Role cards: Delicate (noise pings 30% less visible), Slippery, Dying Breath, Elusory.
  • Plan: for players who win by never being seen — quieter pings, easier grab escapes, faster Stalk decay.

The In-Match Pick: How Decks Turn Into Power

In each match, every time you fill the progression circle the game rolls three cards from your deck and you keep one. That is why broad anchors beat niche cards: every roll from an all-round deck gives something useful, while a deck stuffed with situation cards rolls dead weight half the time. Empty slots auto-fill randomly — so a 15-card deck you built on purpose always outperforms a half-filled one.

FAQ

What is the best survivor build in Halloween: The Game?
The all-round build: fill your 15-card deck with the S-tier broad perks — Unwinded, Unphased, Slippery, Sixth Sense, Stubborn, Field Triage, Solid Foundation and Wound Mender — on a balanced civilian like Laurie Strode. It wins rounds without depending on a team plan.
What perks help the phone and police-wagon strategy?
Voice Of Reason (cuts follower fear), Guardian Shadow (followers take less damage), Pied Piper (higher follower cap) and Smooth Talker (more forgiving dispatch calls) — ideally on Tanya Harrison or Alexis Purcell, whose traits lean into the phone route.
What perks are best for the car escape?
Repair Expert (repair kits last longer), Trespasser (locked doors), Exit Strategy and Survival Intuition (escape awareness), on Marcus Navarro — Resourcefulness 10 with Repair Expert is the car-escape core.
Which perks support arresting Michael Myers?
Knockout (Michael stays down longer), Solid Foundation (melee poise) and Contender (melee damage) on a high-Capability civilian, with Rachel Calahan's Full Moon trait stacking extra Bloodthirst damage during the takedown.
Should every deck use the same perks?
Anchor the eight S-tier cards in every deck, then specialize the remaining slots for the role. Niche cards lower the value of your random in-match rolls — broad perks pay in every round.
How does the in-match perk pick work?
Each time you fill the progression circle in a match, the game rolls three cards from your deck and you keep one until the next fill. Empty deck slots auto-fill with random cards, so broad decks roll better results.
